Photo Challenge - November 2012

From tomorrow I am embarking on the November Photo-A-Day Challenge (Image will be attached). As the picture below shows I will be taking pictures that match the description for each day. To me this seems a hard challenge to complete as I don't usually finish challenges, especially ones that last a month! Unfortunately I won't be able to post each photo with a story but I will attempt to create some sort of description.

The usual challenge rules apply and if I somehow forget one day the challenge will be over!! But don't fret, I will continue to post my daily photos during and after the challenge. I hope you enjoy the next month of photos,

Thank you.

A Lonely Bench - 14/10/12

14th October 2012

A Lonely Bench

The tangerine painted trees whispered in the wind. After an hour drive we all began to feel famished. Our picnic consisted of sandwiches, crisps and the usual treats. We were hopeful that the sun would continue to shine across this fascinating landscape that we found ourselves upon. After finishing our delightful meals we zipped our coats, tied our laces and trekked off into the distance. We had successfully arrived at a Family Picnic Destination, however it wasn't just any Picnic Destination. It had a Cafe, Garden Shop and Toilets!

We refreshed ourselves before our mountain-less journey not aware of the oncoming weather. I remembered to bring my trusty camera so I could share the journey with my Family and the Internet! It was beautiful. We followed several trails across the 300 acre land. After a few hours the wind was growing fierce and we decided to wander back to the Facilities. We grabbed a few hot beverages and collapsed on an oak picnic table. Our bodies chilled to the bone but our minds ready for more!

To top off the day we journeyed down a 45 degree slope that made me feel quite unstable at first. It continued into another family trail where we captured a fantastic sight. The scorching rays of the peachy sun blasted through the crispy golden leaves. I immediately snapped away with my old DC (Digital Camera). At that moment in time I felt like I was being blessed with this sight. A lonely bench was parked next to a towering oak tree - its leaves covered the dewy grass below. The golden sunlight shone on the Lonely Bench. For that one moment, everything stood still.
